DrLupo gave some tips to prospective competitive Fortnite: Battle Royale players in regards to the ‘traits’ a future competitor should possess in order to succeed.
Following the announcement that Epic Games plans to pledge $100 million to competitive Fortnite tournaments between 2018 and 2019, players from around the esports industry have wondered how to get in on the action.
A ‘World Cup’ event was revealed for 2019, with qualifies beginning in Fall of 2018 that will be based on merit, rather than Epic Games selling team spots, which generated a substantial amount of positive feedback.
DrLupo, an incredibly popular streamer and member of the Fortnite community, gave some pointers on what really matters when progressing through the scene, including ‘mechanics, knowledge, gunskill, strategy’ and more.
PSA – if you play Fortnite at a competitive level, and want to be signed to an eSports organization (like @GoingRogueGG, they’re pretty cool), keep this in mind:

(For those curious – I posted these tweets because I have received a large number of messages/emails/DMs/etc from players asking about what it would take to get picked up. Scrim VODs + replay files are fantastic for researching players. Your @FortniteTracker stats page is not.)
