FaZe Clan’s Jaomock reveals why he’s a fan of planes in competitive Fortnite
Most Fortnite pros quickly grew tired of the X-4 Stormwing for various reasons, but it looks like not everyone is having a bad time, with one player even going as far as being a fan of them.
The X-4 Stormwing was added to Fortnite at the start of Season 7 on December 6 and despite players having fun initially, it didn’t take long for most to sour on the new vehicles.
Even in the face of widespread backlash, however, FaZe Clan’s ‘Jaomock’ has revealed why he doesn’t have a huge problem with them being in the game.
Jaomock ignited much discussion on January 1 by declaring his opinion on Twitter, saying that he’s “a fan of planes being in competitive Fortnite,” albeit with some much-needed nerfs.
Don’t hate me, but I’m a fan of planes being in competitive Fortnite (aslong as they got some sort of nerf).

With many seemingly disagreeing with Jaomock’s position, he decided to try and explain things a bit more in the replies.
When asked what the reasoning behind the decision was, Jaomock replied saying that “it takes away from there being a HUGE cluster fuck of people mid game [with] lag” and even going as far as saying that those who take planes will “be way less looted [than] most who were already on the ground.”
It takes away from there being a HUGE cluster fuck of people mid game w/ lag. There’s pros n cons to having the planes. When you get shot out, chances are you’ll be way less looted then most who were already on the ground (unless you get disgustingly bad circle RNG).

Despite his overall feelings of being okay with the planes, however, Jaomock does admit in multiple replies that they ultimately need a nerf of some sort.
While Epic Games have already nerfed the Stormwing multiple times, it seems as though they have yet to find a sweet spot for the competitive community.
Players will no doubt be anxiously awaiting the first Fortnite patch of 2019 to see if Epic has any changes in store for the controversial vehicles.
