Fortnite Battle Royale Season 9 hasn’t even started but we have a good idea of when it ends already, along with when Season 10 begins.

We’re only two teasers into the countdown to Season 9 but we’ve already been given great insight into the future of Season 9 and even Season 10.

Season 9 will begin this Thursday, May 9 and players are no doubt excited for that, but we can also look further and learn when Season 10 starts, thanks to a PS4 store listing.

Fortnite Season 8 is winding down.

When does Season 9 end?

According to a PlayStation Store listing, Fortnite Season 9 will be wrapping up on August 9, suggesting it will be a longer than a usual season as most have run for 10 weeks up to this point.

Seasons have been extended in the past so maybe it’s possible this is either a preemptive extension or it is Epic Games giving themselves some wiggle room in the event of something bad happening. Whatever the case may be, this season will run for 12 weeks.

Season 9 end date and Season 10 start date.

Epic Games confirmed the World Cup will take place during Season 9 so timeframe does actually line up, suggesting the leaked date could be legit.

With the two week extension, it confirms the World Cup Finals will be played in Season 9, which is probably the real reason for this season being longer.

When does Season 10 begin?

As for when Fortnite Season 10 begins, if the date above is legit then we can expect Season 10 to start as soon as Season 9 finishes on August 1.

There’s not a whole lot of information about Season 10, or Season 9 for that matter, outside of these dates but at least we know when to expect them now.
