When does the v9.10 Content Update go live?

The v9.10 Content Update will be released on Wednesday, May 29 at 5 AM PT / 8 AM ET / 1 PM BST. Since it is just a Content Update and not a regular game patch, it will require no downtime or download.

New Burst SMG

The headline addition to the game in the v9.10 Content Update is the new Burst SMG, which comes in Common, Uncommon and Rare variants.

The weapon fires quick four round bursts, and deals 23,24, or 25 damage depending on where the bullets hit enemy players. The inclusion of the Burst SMG means the Suppressed Submachine Gun moves to the vault.

The Burst SMG will be the newest weapon in Fortnite BR following the v9.10 Content Update.

Possible map changes

Players have noticed that the map has been in constant change recently, such as the cracks in the ice and earthquakes around Polar Peak.

The v9.10 Content Update could introduce further changes to the map, in what may be a lead-up to the Cattus Event, which many believe could be in partnership with the upcoming film  Godzilla: King of Monsters. No map changes were included in the patch notes, but it’s worth keeping an eye on the snowy location as we get closer to the beginning of the rumored event.

We could see further changes made to Polar Peak following the v9.10 Content Update.
