Fortnite players are disappointed that they are unable to celebrate victories with their friends in the game due to a bug in Chapter 5 Season 4.

Emoting with your friends just after the Victory Royale text appears in Fortnite after eliminating the last opponent is no doubt one of the most satisfying things in the game. Maybe you pulled off an insane combo with Captain America’s Shield, or one tapped your opponent as they were trying to heal behind a bush.

Either way, things like these always call for a celebration, and there are just so many in-game emotes that let you express your victory and happiness. However, recently, players have noticed that they are unable to move and emote after a Victory Royale.

While this has been a recurring issue, players in a Reddit thread are upset that this bug is back in Chapter 5, Season 4.

Fortnite take the L emote
Fortnite is brimming with different kinds of emotes.

“My duo partner and I, when we win a Victory Royale, we would run to each other and do a synced emote. Why did they take this out? That was the best part of winning with your partner,” said one user.

Many others in the comments were also disappointed that they couldn’t use synced victory emotes to celebrate the win and petitioned Epic to fix the issue.

“It bums me out. Just let me emote with my duo, Epic,” commented one user, to which another replied, “Exactly! It is the perfect time for synced emotes! Especially with the cute new one they just released.”

Meanwhile, one user was disappointed they couldn’t emote because they would always hug their wife at the end of the match. “Our kids thought it was super wholesome,” they added.

“My duo and I always found each other after a win and emoted together. Now, we can’t do that anymore. Such a small but really cool thing. Hopefully, it’s just a bug,” commented a different user.

Some players in the comments pointed out this bug tends to happen occasionally, regardless of the season. For now, players will just have to be patient until Epic fixes the issue.
