How to qualify for the FNCS Majors
To participate in the FNCS Major qualifiers, you and your duo must have reached Platinum 1 in Ranked Battle Royale. After that, you’ll have to run the gauntlet and consistently place near the top to qualify for the next stages of play.
Each Major will have Open Qualifier rounds, requiring you and your duo to accumulate as many points as possible in three hours. Ten matches must be played to advance to the next round, regardless of time.
There will be two different Open Qualifiers, your duo can participate in both if you were not satisfied with your first performance.
The number of rounds in the Open Qualifier varies, ranging from three to four, depending on your matchmaking region.
Round | NA-Central/EU | OCE/ASIA/ME/BR |
Round 1 | Rank Platinum I+ in Battle Royale | Rank Platinum I+ in Battle Royale |
Round 2 | Top 2,000 teams | Top 1,000 teams |
Round 3 | Top 1,000 teams | Top 250 teams |
Round 4 | Top 250 teams | N/A |
Major Semi-Finals
The position of your duo on the Series Points leaderboard will dictate whether you participate in Lower Semi-Finals Round 1 or Upper Semi-Finals Round 1. Based on your points from the previous ten matches, this will only be determined if you make it to the Major’s Semi-Finals.
If you qualify for the Semi-Finals, you’ll engage in a maximum of three Lower Rounds or Upper Rounds, depending on your leaderboard standing.
To qualify for Upper Semis Round 1, rank 1st-50th on the Series Points leaderboard. This round has five set-lobby matches. Winners advance to the Grand Finals, while 6th-25th proceed to Upper Semis Round 2. Positions 26th-50th move to Lower Semis Round 2.
For Lower Semis Round 1 (ranked 51st-250th), ten open-lobby matches decide advancement to Upper Semis Round 2 (1st-30th) or Lower Semis Round 2 (31st-205th). Placing lower results in elimination.
In Upper Semis Round 2, winners advance to the Grand Finals, and 6th-25th get another chance in Upper Semis Round 3. Positions 26th-50th move to Lower Semis Round 3.
Lower Semis Round 2 (ten open-lobby matches) requires finishing 1st-30th for Upper Semis Round 3 qualification; otherwise, elimination.
Upper Semis Round 3 and Lower Semis Round 3 (three set-lobby matches each) determine Grand Finals spots (1st-25th in Upper, 1st-15th in Lower). Duos finishing lower are eliminated.
Major Grand Finals
After the Semi-Finals, 50 duos will enter the Grand Finals of the Major, and the top-performing duos will advance to the Global Championship. A total of 50 duos (100 players) will participate in the Global Championship LAN at the end of the year.
Each Major’s Grand Finals span two days, allowing competitors to play up to six matches in a three-hour window each day (Saturday and Sunday), totaling 12 matches. Advancement to the Global Championship depends on the cumulative points earned these two days. On the second day (Sunday), eliminations and placements offer 1.5x points.
