Fortnite glitch makes Liquid Chap give up and install Minecraft

Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap‘ Chaplo got so angry at Fortnite, after suffering a bizarre glitch with The Baller, that he immediately turned to Minecraft instead.

Chap was participating in the solo Blackheart tournament on Oceanic servers while awaiting the release of the East Coast tournament – Fortnite pro players are known to play in other regions to boost their chances of winning prize money.

Despite playing with an elevated ping of around 263, the 24-year-old had amassed a respectable 28 points from his first nine games.

Liquid Chap is one of the top Fortnite professionals, ranking #10 in the list of all-time earners

However, in his final game, the Liquid member encountered a glitch in the game that saw his Baller vehicle shatter in front of his eyes.

As a result, Chap left his match instantly, closed Fortnite and opted to install Minecraft much to the amusement of his Twitch chat.

The bug shows that Epic Games still have a lot of work to do to improve the competitive integrity of Fortnite.

Epic have confirmed on Reddit that optimization for all platforms is on the way in the upcoming v8.20 patch, but streamers have been vocal in recent weeks with a number of game-breaking glitches causing plenty of headaches.
