Fortnite skin designs in Chapter 5 for male and female characters.

Players of Fortnite have had enough of Epic Games using the same female skin designs in the game compared with male versions, which they have claimed are much more diverse.

Fortnite’s skin designs have long been a hot topic in the community. Every season brings a wealth of brand-new additions, with the best ones being praised, while others are put on blast.

This can be for various reasons. However, following the past few seasons, many have become increasingly frustrated with the lack of “exciting” skins and cosmetics in the Item Shop. Some players have even gone as far as to claim that Chapter 5’s major LEGO collab has “killed” the Item Shop.

Now, players have called out the lack of diversity in the Female player skin designs compared to the Male designs found in Fortnite.

Fortnite players call for Epic Games to change female skin designs

Fortnite player ProdbyPyxlwhip posted: “Fortnite skin design in a nutshell,” which featured an image that directly compared male and female designs in the game.

The player made the point that they believe the male player models and skins have various different body types and features, whereas female skin designs use the same ones.

This quickly caused a stir among the community. The post instantly gained traction and has surged to 10 thousand likes and over 800 comments, as players chimed in to share their views.

Many agreed that “almost every single woman skin looks the same” and called for Epic Games to stop using the same player models.

“I’m new to the game so I just assumed all female skins looked like boring clones of each other,” one player said, as another responded: “The male version of a skin will have a striking silhouette while the female version will look like every other female version.”

Some players disagreed and instead stated there is a “trend of making both male and female skins less curvy.” One player more strongly disagreed: “What in the f*ck are you on about, most of the male skins share the same body type.

“The exceptions are usually just buff, aint no damn “plus sized” male skins, but there is at least a few female ones lol I’m not saying there shouldn’t be more body type variety, but the implication of this image is a load of bs.”

Fortnite skins have not been the only in-game feature looking the same in Chapter 5, where players have slammed the “awful” weapon designs that have left players constantly picking up the wrong guns.
