Fortnite pros suffer major errors during $400,000 ESL Katowice Royale tournament
ESL/NICKMERCSA number of Fortnite players have encountered numerous in-game issues during the ESL Katowice Royale event – leaving some angered and other confused as their chances at success have been affected.
Some of the best competitive players in the world have traveled to Poland to take part in the ESL Katowice Royale – a major tournament for the Fortnite scene, with a huge prize pool split into solo and duo events.
However, it hasn’t been without its problems. While pros like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney decided against attending, players who have traveled have suffered issues during their games. One of the most popular players at the event, Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, was angered after he experienced issues during the first game of the duo event.
The highest-earning Fortnite pro decided against making the trip to Katowice.
The 100 Thieves star revealed the issues he had suffered with on Twitter, telling his fans that he had no audio during game one of the event.
While the issue may have been game-breaking for some players, NICKMERCS battled on – securing four kills.

However, he isn’t the only pro to have vented their anger after having problems in their game during the event.
Ghost Gaming player Issa ‘Issa’ Rahim had issues with his camera. He tweeted his frustrations: “Gotta love the Fortnite bugs mid-game. After we get 4 kills on a huge base with full mats, I can’t move my camera in-game, not even with the mouse, and I die. Hahahaahha.”

Nate ‘Nate Hill’ Hill, a member of the FaZe Clan team, tweeted his frustrations after a game freeze cost him and his partner Trevor FunkBomb’ Siegler the chance at securing a victory.

Solary’s pro Corentin ‘Hunter’ Tardif fell victim to one of the newest items in the game – the Pirate Cannon. After firing himself across the map towards his teammate, the French player became stuck in a tree in an infinite loop of the being shot of out a cannon animation.
It took a few moments, but Hunter was eventually knocked after falling from the tree that he had become stuck in.

However, it’s sure to throw up more issues before the duos champions can be crowned.
