Fortnite Season 8 potentially inspired by fan-made Pirate concept

One – teasing a potential Pirate theme for the season with hints such as ‘X’ marks the spot and references towards bananas.

While fans quickly got to work with theories of their own, one fan may have been ahead of the curve and guessed the direction in which Epic was headed with the new season – nearly a full year ago.

The first official tease for Season 8 was dropped on February 24.

Reddit user ReadItFam posted their idea for a ‘Pirate Paradise’ area of the battle royale map to the FortniteBR subreddit back on June 12 – receiving plenty of appreciation from other fans who viewed the post and the ideas behind it.

The concept, which would have taken up the Flush Factory portion of the map – which eventually turned into the Arctic area for Season 7 –  had a fully fledged beach cove feel, with Pirate Ships being parked up on the shore for added visual effect.

While the name ‘Pirate Paradise’ was up for discussion, other fans gave suggestions like ‘Bucco Bay’ and ‘Booty Beach,’ giving the concept a closer name to what it would likely be if introduced to the game.

It remains to be seen if Epic will follow suit with a similar sort of idea to the initial concept or if they have since come up with grander plans of their own for a huge map overhaul.
