Fortnite Update V6.20 allows players to fly anywhere on the map using the Cube
The Fortnitemares update that released for Fortnite Battle Royale on Wednesday, October 24 allows players to quickly fly around the map thanks to the new positioning of the Cube.
The Cube, affectionately nicknamed Kevin by the Fortnite community, has made its way back to Leaky Lake, and is currently floating in the sky, with fragments of the island that used to sit in the middle of Loot Lake scattered above it.
Thanks to this new arrangement, Fortnite fan and Reddit user ‘ImSpeedyGonzalez’ has discovered that by harnessing the power of the Cube, players can fly to any other location on the map, allowing for brand new rotations that were previously not possible in the game.
ImSpeedyGonzalez explains that due to the island now being split into pieces around Kevin instead of hovering over him, players get bounced much higher into the air than before, while Leaky Lake’s fairly central position on the map gives plenty of options as to where they can travel to.
All Fortnite fans need to do to make use of this new rotation method is stand on one of the island fragments in the sky, and fire a few shots at the Cube. Then, jump towards it, pulling out your glider.
Due to you dealing damage to it, the Cube will fire a shot of lightning at you, thrusting you high into the air, letting you pull out your glider and soar away.
Fortnite’s V6.20 update brought a brand new Limited Time Mode called Fortnitemares, along with a brand new weapon, and lots of leaked cosmetics thanks to data miners.
The update is live and available right now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
