Ninja is unconvinced new Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass skin is based on him

Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and helped Fortnite get to where it is today – but his chat had a hard time convincing him a new skin for Season 8 was in his likeness.

Fortnite’s Season 8 started on February 28, and offers players a brand new battle pass filled with loot to unlock.

One of the skins is called ‘Master Key,’ and Ninja’s fans were convinced Epic based the skin on their favorite streamer.

While Ninja looked through the new Season 8 Battle Pass with his viewers, a lot of people in his chat kept begging the streamer to look at the Master Key skin, convinced it looked like him or a “ninja” because of the headband.

“Wow, like, why is that me?” Ninja asked before turning deadpan to his webcam to stare at viewers.

Obviously, Ninja wasn’t convinced, and when you look at the streamer and the Master Key skin, the only real similarity is that they both have spiky hair.

No streamer officially has an in-game skin, but there was a brief moment where it looked like Summit1G had gotten the first streamer-specific skin, and Ninja was not happy about it.

Even though he doesn’t have a special skin, Epic did add the ‘PLUNJA’ harvester after Ninja jokingly asked for it.

Ninja may not have a special in-game skin just yet, but Epic has kept the possibility of introducing streamer-specific skins in the future.
