Epic GamesSamsung will be hosting a Fortnite tournament featuring Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Korean pop band iKON and others. Here’s everything you need to know about the event, with some details on how you can also watch and take part in the action.
Epic Games announced on February 20 that they had partnered with Samsung to host the event in New York City, where they revealed a brand new ‘iKONIK’ skin and ‘Scenario’ emote exclusively available to owners of the Samsung S10+ smartphone.
The tournament will take place on March 16, with the winner securing the chance to play Fortnite on stage with both Ninja and members of iKON.
What to expect at Samsung’s Fortnite Tournament
From what we know so far, Samsung’s event will allow Fortnite players to come together and compete on their new S10+ devices, battling it out on a brand new creative map. The design of the new map remains a mystery, as it’s been built specifically for this event.
The tournament will be broken up into different phases, allowing Ninja and iKON to interact with fans as the action unfolds.

- 12:00 pm: Doors open for the event.
- 1:00 pm: Tournament will begin.
- 5:00 pm: The final twelve finalists will be announced.
- 6:00 pm: A panel discussion hosted by Ryan Penagos will commence, featuring Ninja and iKON.
- 6:20 pm: Tournament finals will take place.
- 7:10 pm: iKON’s performance will begin.
- 7:45 pm: Ninja will host a meet and greet.
- 8:00 pm: Event comes to a close.

Samsung’s New York Fortnite event will be streamed live on Twitch for fans and fellow players of the battle royale game to enjoy.

If you fancy your chances against a number of other Fortnite players competing to jump up on stage with Ninja and iKON, there are a few steps to complete first.
To do this, all you have to do is head over to Super League’s official website and register. The process is very straight forward.
The event has an age restriction where players must be aged 13 or above in order to be eligible to compete and while registration does give you a chance of being selected for the competition, placed are limited. The quicker you get your registration sorted out, the better.
