Shocking Fortnite building glitch is giving some players an unfair advantage

Fortnite Battle Royale has had some crazy bugs since the game was first released in September 2017, but a new one seems to let players shoot right through solid builds.

Epic Games have been made aware of a number of different glitches since the beginning of Season 8 on February 28, including bugged areas on the map that were eliminating players.

However, members of the game’s online community have been discussing an issue in the game’s battle royale mode where they can shoot right through a build without any problem at all.

Fortnite players have noticed some strange issues with building in Season 8.

Most Fortnite fans will know already, but building is a feature that allows players to use materials in order to protect themselves from gunfire, explosives or even to move around.

Yet, a new glitch seems to render materials useless by letting weapons shoot right through them without damaging the structure – as seen with the ‘cone’ demonstration below.

This video was posted to the Fortnite BR subreddit by 2Rich4Youu and shows exactly why this could be a problem, particularly in the endgame of Fortnite sessions.

Simply aiming through a cone that hasn’t been fully built gives the player an opportunity to fire through the material, without damaging it.

This gives the player inside the cone a potential advantage, as they’re not fully exposed but have the same ability to fire at their enemy from inside. Some redditors claim that it also works with ramps, too.

It’s unknown if this issue has been spotted by Epic as of yet, but we’ll keep you updated on any potential fixes in the future.
