Soaring 50’s LTM Has Been Re-enabled in Fortnite Battle Royale
The fan favorite limited time mode (LTM) ‘Soaring 50’s’ is back in Fortnite, and there’s a chance it could be played in Solo/Duo/Squads too.
First added back in August, with the v5.21 update, Soaring 50’s puts a new spin on the traditional 50v50 mode, by having gliders be usable throughout the match.
Typically, gliders are only available when initially jumping from the bus, or when using rifts, bounce pads etc.

But Soaring 50’s allows you to get your glider out and soar over the map at almost all opportunities, even from basic jumps or high falls. Whenever a player is ten meters above the ground, the glider prompt will be available.
Additionally, there is an abundance of Bounce Pads, Launch Pads and Impulse Grenades, all spawning more often than normal.
And if you are one of those Fortnite players who love to check their stats after every game, do not fear, as the Soaring 50’s mode doesn’t track your kill/death ratio or wins and losses like standard modes.

After the announcement of Soaring 50’s returning, the creative director at Epic Games, Donald Mustard gave a teaser that the ‘Soaring’ game mode may also be coming in Solo/Duo/Squads format.
Streamer and YouTuber ONE_shot_GURL made the suggestion in reply to the Soaring 50’s announcement, and Mustard responded with a cryptic ‘thinking’ emoji – so they are at least considering it.

For now, it is still just 50v50, but Epic are always looking at ways to keep Fortnite fresh, and having one of the most liked LTM’s come in the standard match sizes of Solo/Duo/Squad would undoubtedly go down well with players.
