Top Influencers and Their Celebrity Teammates React to $3M Fortnite Pro-Am Tournament – Ft. Ninja, Myth, Nadeshot, and More!
Without a doubt, June 12th will go down as one of the most memorable days in the history of Fortnite: Battle Royale.
On that day, the Fortnite Pro-Am Celebrity Tournament was played, becoming the first ever Fortnite event to be officially sponsored and organized by developer Epic Games.
The 2v2 competition teamed up 50 of the biggest names in the online gaming community with 50 well-known celebrities who enjoy playing the popular BR title, including a variety of musicians, athletes, and more.
The Pro-Am featured a format in which three total matches were played – a Solos warmup, a Duos warmup, and the final Duos charity prize match.
YouTuber ‘NoahJ456’ took home the Solos match, while the partnership of pro player Kinstar and UFC fighter and OpTic Gaming member Sean O’Malley proved strong enough to take home the Duos warmup.
However, as most had predicted, Twitch extraordinaire ‘Ninja’ and music producer and DJ ‘Marshmello’ won the prize match, securing a whopping $1 million for the charity of their choice.
After the competition was over, many of the participants took to social media to offer their reactions to playing and taking part in the huge event.
