When Will Fortnite Release Update V.4.5? Playground LTM and Major Map Changes Expected [UPDATED]
UPDATE – Fortnite has announced the release date and time for the v4.5 Update – info and what to expect.
The wait for each week’s Fortnite update has millions of gamers around the world on the edge of their seats in anticipation.
Since launching their battle royale mode in November 2017, the development team at Epic Games have won fans over with new content and changes each week, including new skins, weapons and map locations.
Unfortunately for those who are looking for the update on Tuesday, June 26th, you’ll have to wait a little longer with Epic Games expected to launch it on Wednesday, June 27th or Thursday, June 28th.
Each week the day of the update can change, but due to it being earlier in the week for updates V.4.3 and V.4.4, there was something of an expectation that we’d see another Tuesday release.
The exact details of what the changes will involve in V.4.5 are currently unknown, however, what we do know is that we’re likely to get our hands on the highly anticipated Playground LTM.
The mode was teased in the in-game menu, with a brief description given about what exactly it will entail.
“The Playground LTM will load you into the Battle Royale Map with some adjusted settings.
Battle and build to your heart’s content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately.”
Alongside the Playground LTM we have very little conclusive information about what V.4.5 will entail, but changes to the map have been leaked from the game files.
The images show a new tower in Tilted Towers, which might explain the ongoing building work, some changes to Dusty Divot, which was main impact spot of the meteor, and what seems to be a significant change to the Villain’s Lair.
While it looks like the rocket is missing entirely, community members have suggested that the change is actually showing some silo doors. We’ll leave you to decide for yourself!
