As Helldivers 2‘s popularity continues to skyrocket, surpassing gaming giants, countless players join the cause to deliver freedom far and wide.
Dropping into active duty nets all sorts of rewards, be it weapons, Stratagems, resources for upgrades, and plenty more in between. But it also comes with some customization options along the way, chief among them being titles.
From collecting them to how you can change them directly on your ship, here’s everything you need to know about titles in the game.
How to unlock new titles in Helldivers 2
Unlocking new titles in Helldivers 2 is as simple as leveling up. Just by playing the game and progressing through the ranks, you’re able to earn new titles to flex your dedication to democracy.
Every five levels unlock a new title all the way through to the level cap. Currently, this is the only way to get new titles in the game, but as a live-service game, that could always change.
Perhaps we’ll see some added as key mission rewards or the Battle Pass-style Warbonds, though this remains to be seen. We’ll be sure to update you here should things change in the coming months.
Every title in Helldivers 2
Below is the full list of titles available in Helldivers 2 along with the level in which they unlock:
- Super Citizen: Exclusive to Helldiver 2 Super Citizen Edition
- Cadet: Default title
- Space Cadet: Unlocked at level 5
- Sergeant: Unlocked at level 10
- Master Sergeant: Unlocked at level 15
- Chief: Unlocked at level 20
- Space Chief Prime: Unlocked at level 25
- Death Captain: Unlocked at level 30
- Marshall: Unlocked at level 35
- Star Marshall: Unlocked at level 40
- Admiral: Unlocked at level 45
- Skull Admiral: Unlocked at level 50
How to change your title in Helldivers 2
Changing your title in Helldivers 2 is done through the Armoury on your ship. Simply head to the Armoury, tab across to the Character screen, and look at the very bottom of the list for the title option.
Here you can manually swap between your various unlocked titles at will, which is handy to keep in mind as you level up. New titles aren’t applied by default, so you’ll need to head to the Armory to equip any new unlock as you progress.
