How Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero works around it’s weakest character

Mr. Satan is arguably the weakest character in Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero’s roster, but the devs have found a way to buff him in the best possible way.

While Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero boasts a roster of warriors who could benchpress a planet, many fans have been wondering how the devs will balance the less powerful units. After all, Goku, Vegeta, and the series’ iconic villains can destroy a planet with a single attack.

While Mr. Satan famously saved the entire planet from Cell, he often relies on his trusty jetpack when it comes to facing off against the most powerful warriors in the galaxy. So, how will the game’s weakest character fair without it?

In previous Dragon Ball games, Hercule Satan couldn’t fly or use energy beams, opting to wear a jetpack to keep up with the flying action in the air. However, with no jetpack in sight in DB Sparking! Zero, it’s a wonder how he’ll fly with the punches.

Since Hercule’s iconic jetpack is absent from all Sparking Zero promotions, fans have wondered how he’ll fly into battle. The simple answer here is: Mr Satan doesn’t fly at all. Instead, he relies on his fancy footwork and good running form to dodge deadly Ki blasts.

As for fighting, Mr. Satan will throw punches alongside his ever-faithful companion, Buu, who makes up the deficit of his special attacks — hiding behind the champion’s iconic moves, like his infamous Dynamite Kick.

Most characters strike the power-up stance and scream their lungs out to charge their energy and enable Ki attacks. Since Hercule here doesn’t use any Ki energy in his attacks, he’ll still strike a pose and jump indefinitely to close the distance when facing flying opponents.

Fans will want to keep an eye on the champ when Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero releases on October 11, 2024, on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
