How to change your character in Foamstars

Foamstars is a brand new game from Square Enix and it’s an action-packed third-person shooter that’s reminiscent of the beloved Splatoon series. In the game, you can take on PvE missions or work with up to 4 players in multiplayer to battle it out with other players in colorful foam-based combat.
It’s a title that stands out compared to the developer’s JRPG history including the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy franchises but Foamstars does feature characters with anime aesthetics and they all have distinct abilities and playstyles but how can you change who you’re playing as?
Here’s everything you need to know about how to change your character in Foamstars.
How to change characters in Foamstars
You can select a different character once you’ve completed the opening tutorial of Foamstars and arrive at your main base which acts as a hub area in the game. Once you’re in the base, simply follow the steps below to switch fighters:
- Head over to the Master Saloon.
- Select the “Foamstar Customization” option from the menu.
- Choose who you’d like to play as and click on their portrait.
- Once this has been done, you’ll have changed characters!
You can also change your character skins, emotes, and player card information from the Master Saloon.
There are currently 8 characters to choose from in Foamstars, including a couple that are locked behind progression and the Season Pass. Each of them has a unique playstyle so it’s worth trying out as many as you can to see who suits you best!
