How to get Stone Blocks in Nightingale
Inflexion GamesNightingale has officially entered Early Access on Steam, and players have begun to establish a foothold in its many overlapping realms. Here’s everything you need to know about tracking down Stone Blocks in the game.
Among the many survival games out there, Nightingale is endeavoring to do some things differently. The game takes place in an alternate 19th century, where scientific advancement has accidentally unleashed a nefarious force that threatens the very existence of humanity.
As a result, the player uses a portal to escape to an alternate realm. Those portals make up the main mechanic of the game, with players able to use them to traverse reals, using cards to customize the experience.
Having said all of that, collecting resources is just as necessary here as in any other survival game. Read on for the lowdown on how to get one of the most important, in Stone Blocks.
How to mine Stone Blocks in Nightingale
As is possibly to be expected, Stone Blocks are a vital part of many of the game’s structures. These are not to be confused with the rocks that can be picked up off the ground. Instead, collecting these requires the use of tools.
Predictably, the first thing to do is create a pickaxe, which the introduction to the game should force you to do. From there, head out and look for medium-sized boulders dotted throughout the landscape. It is not possible to mine sheer rock faces and plateaus in Nightingale.
A little green pickaxe symbol should pop up and from there, it’s just a case of clicking. That boulder then drops stone blocks in all of their smooth glory. The big reason to get these early is to construct the fast travel-enabling Estate Cairn. They also play a big part in many of the elements required for building a more extravagant shelter.
