Sons of the Forest is a survival-horror game that will throw plenty of Cannibals and Mutants your way. So, if you’re having trouble staying alive while exploring these scary landscapes you might want to get yourself the best armor possible. Here’s how to craft the Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest.

The anticipated sequel to The Forest has been in early access for over a year and it is finally set to release its v1.0 on February 22, 2024.

The players who have been exploring these treacherous lands over the past year can be assured that this direct sequel lives up to its predecessor and is as scary as it is hard.

The game does offer different types of armor to help you face the constant cannibals and mutants that will try to murder you in cold blood. The best of them all is the Tech Armor, however, you’ll have to craft it, as you won’t find it in any location.

If you want to become unstoppable in Sons of the Forest, here’s how to get yourself the Tech Armor in the game.

What is the Tech Armor used for in Sons of the Forest?

The Tech Armor is the best armor available in the game, sitting above the sought-after Creepy Armor. It is so powerful that once you’ve put it on, you’ll be capable of taking a full blow from Large Cannibals without dying.

However, because it can’t be found and the only way to obtain it is through crafting, some players believe it’s not cost-effective due to the expensive materials it requires.

How to craft the Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest?

To make the complete Tech Armor set you’ll need these components:

  • x10 Tech Mesh
  • x10 Wire
  • x10 Duct Tape
  • x10 Circuit Board
  • x10 Batteries

Once you’ve gathered all the materials from the list above, all you need to do is grab one of each and hit “Combine”. This will result in 1 piece of the Tech Amor suit, and you’ll need a total of 10 pieces for the full set – hence the amount of the materials.

Every element can be found lying around the landscape, on Cannibal camps, or even around your helicopter crash site, except for the Tech Mesh. Acquiring that is the real problem as it is not a natural resource nor do you find it as loot during your exploration.

How to make Tech Mesh in Sons of the Forest

To make one Tech Mesh, you’ll require:

  • x250ml Printer Resin per mesh (x2500ml Printer Resin for the full Tech Armor set)
  • A 3D Printer

Printer Resin location

Even though the printers come with some Printer Resin already, you’ll have to gather some more to meet the crafting requirements. They can be found in many locations as cartridges, with each containing around 100 milliliters of it.

You can find Printer Resin in:

  • Supply crates
  • Bunkers

3D Printer location

The 3D Printers offer players a series of blueprints to create useful items such as Tech Mesh, but also cheaper stuff like Printed Arrows, Printed Flask, and the Printed Grappling Hook.

You can find 3D printers in:

  • Maintenance Bunker A
  • Underground Maintenance Bunker B
  • Entertainment Bunker
  • Residential Bunker

Once you have the Printer Resin needed, just interact with the 3D Printer, and out of all the options available select “Tech Mesh”. Craft the 10 pieces and you’ll be ready to build yourself a complete Tech Armor set.

Can Tech Armor break in Sons of the Forest?

Yes, the Tech Armor suit can break. It won’t happen as a whole, but with each hit, the pieces will start to take damage and after a while, they’ll start to break down individually.

If you have the time and the resources, you can craft extra pieces and keep them with you to replace the ones that take too much damage or are about to break.

The Tech Armor is the best to take on to a fight due to the amount of protection it offers, but players need to analyze if the cost is worth their efforts since it breaks down easily when facing a big horde of enemies.
