Super Mario Bros. Wonder impressed critics and has already become beloved by fans despite only being released on October 20, 2023.
The 2D Mario platformer was a highly anticipated release by Nintendo, which brought along whole new worlds and features for players to enjoy.
As players have reached the final levels of Wonder, it has proven challenging for most without a high amount of lives at their disposal. This has led to many players coming up with ingenious ways to get an unlimited amount of lives from 1-Ups.
Here’s a complete and easy guide on the best ways you can get unlimited 1-Up lives in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
How to get infinite lives in Super Mario Bros. Wonder
These methods all exploit the jump combo momentum you will gain from jumping and landing on in-game enemies and items to allow you to quickly get unlimited 1-Up lives.
Use Yoshi’s flutter jump at Fluff-Puff-Peaks
This is the fastest and easiest method. First, you would need to make sure you are playing as Yoshi and have the Fluff-Puff Peaks level unlocked which is located in World 2. If not, try the next method.
Start this level and make your way through until you make it to the second part. After a short while you would come across a single brick with a short platform and a pipe on the other side as shown below.
Collect at least three Koopa’s found in the surrounding areas and once collected launch each of these into the air so that they land in between the brick and the pipe. Once they have all come out of their shells, you can now use Yoshi’s flutter float ability to jump and land directly on them to rack up those 1-Up lives.
Use any character with a Parachute Cap badge on Scram, Skedaddlers
You can also complete this without using Yoshi using a similar method. For this, you would first need to use the Parachute Cap badge item in Wonder with any character. Then choose the Scram, Skedaddle level, which is the final course in the tutorial section of World 1.
Simply chase the Skedaddler who is carrying coins towards some yellow barrels. Here you will instead use wall jumps and Parachute Caps to land on each acorn as they shoot towards you. Similar to Yoshi’s flutter jump, the cap will surge up your jump combo momentum to gain 1-Ups fast.
Use Koopa shell between two pipes on Scram, Skedaddlers
If you’re struggling with the above methods, then don’t worry this may take longer but it is by far the easiest. Just navigate through the level till you come across a bunch of pipes. Simply grab a Koopa and place it between two pipes, and finally push the pipes together so it is stuck between them.
Then just slide down the pipes landing on the shell each time to rack up those 1-Up lives. This same method could be completed with other enemies following on other levels, but as the map is part of the tutorial it makes it even easier.
