You’ll come up against plenty of tough enemies throughout your time in Granblue Fantasy: Relink and you’ll want to regularly upgrade your weapons. So, here’s exactly how to upgrade your weapons in the Cygames JRPG.

The long-awaited Granblue Fantasy: Relink has just arrived and the newest install in the Grablue Fantasy franchise brings the characters and world from the popular gacha game to life as an ambitious RPG experience. There’s a lot for fans to experience from a captivating story, action-packed combat, and up to 4 player co-op in challenges quests.

Throughout your time in the game, you’ll constantly be leveling up, and learning new skills to take on tougher battles but to really be prepared it’s important to upgrade your weapons as well. So, here’s everything you need to know about upgrading weapons in Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

How to upgrade weapons in Granblue Fantasy: Relink

To upgrade your weapons in the game you need to visit the Blacksmith.

The Blacksmith can be found at his stall in the main hub town of Folca, or by using a Hallowed Ground checkpoint if you’re in the middle of a main story objective. Before you can upgrade your weapons, you’ll need a fair amount of resources so make sure to take on quests in between story missions as you’ll be rewarded with various resources for completing them.

Once you’re at the Blacksmith’s, simply choose the character whose gear you want to upgrade, select your weapon of choice, and decide how many resources you’d like to spend on enhancing the weapon. Once this is done, the weapon will be upgraded!

It’s also important to note that as you progress through the main story you’ll unlock the ability to uncap weapons. This will use resources to further increase the highest possible level a certain weapon can reach which may unlock unique traits.
