Star Wars fans have been in a golden age for content thanks to Disney+ shows like The Mandalorian and video game franchises like Star Wars Jedi. So will Disney give cross over the TV and Movies with a game featuring the Mandalorian anytime soon?

Star Wars video games have proven tough to get over the line, but incredibly popular when released. The Star Wars Jedi franchise, which started in 2019 with Star War Jedi: Fallen Order, has won awards and brought in millions of dollars.

Star War Battlefront and its sequel have also brought a strong multiplayer title to the science fiction universe in modern times.

With the success of the Star Wars television shows, like The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and Andor, many fans have wondered if Disney will take the IP to video games. So far the company has stuck with multiplayer games and new IP for their game offerings, but that could change very soon.

Is there a Star Wars Mandalorian game coming out?

Respawn Entertainment is reportedly developing a first-person The Mandalorian game in the Star Wars universe, according to Insider Gaming.

Players will play as the bounty hunter, but there is no confirmation if it will be the Mandalorian fans know from the show, during the Galactic Empire’s reign. The gameplay is expected to consist of players trying to capture targets dead or alive for rewards.

The game’s potential release date and whether it will feature multiplayer has not been revealed or announced by Respawn or Disney. According to the report, it will not be an open-world title. Instead, it’ll have a more linear, possibly mission-based structure.

Respawn seems to be the logical choice to handle the story of the bounty hunter as it has handled the previous Star Wars single-player efforts, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, to great success.

This article will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
