With Marvel Rivals wrapping up its Closed Alpha test, thousands of prospective players have been left wondering if a console release is following close behind. Here’s what we know about its PlayStation and Xbox launch.

After its reveal in early 2024, Marvel Rivals’ Closed Alpha finally went live in May for a select batch of players.

With just a limited number of Closed Alpha test codes being sent out, mainly to content creators, fans could finally have a first look at the Overwatch-style hero shooter with a Marvel skin.

However, given that the Closed Alpha was only limited to PC players, many are wondering when console players can jump in on the fun. So, will Marvel Rivals be available on console? Here’s what we know about Marvel Rivals and its potential launch across PlayStation and Xbox.

Is Marvel Rivals coming to consoles?

Yes, Marvel Rivals is coming to consoles, specifically PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. As shared via a post on X, the next Closed Beta will also be open to console players. How players can sign up for the beta has yet to be revealed, but it’s worth knowing that it’s scheduled to drop sometime in July.

Aside from that, there’s also good news for those playing the game on PS5. The Closed Beta announcement trailer briefly showcased an exclusive Scarlet Spider skin for Spider-Man for the platform.

This isn’t the first time that the game offers an exclusive cosmetic. Previously, during the Closed Alpha test, those who finished the Galacta’s Quest could unlock the Moonlit Witch skin for Scarlet Witch permanently, meaning that it will be carried over to the game’s launch.

Whether or not the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta will have exclusive cosmetics that can be unlocked in a similar way is unknown. However, assuming all the Marvel Rivals leaks are accurate, we may be able to see some MCU-style skins in the game in the future.
