How to play Scarlet Witch in Marvel Rivals

Scarlet Witch deals a lot of damage, so you’ll need to take full advantage of it. Whenever you’re in range of an enemy, use your Chaos Control as it isn’t very aim-intensive.

Doing so will also build up plenty of Chaoe Energy to let you use Chthonian Burst shortly after, which is perfect for a grouped team or to finish off a pesky Wolverine or tanky enemy.

marvel Rivals Scarlet Witch ability

Along with her DPS, Scarlet Witch thrives when she’s flanking the enemy team. Her mobility and Mystic Projection let her sneak into the backlines while her AoE Abilities like Reality Erasure and Chthonian Burst can help take down more than one at a time. Just be sure to use Mystic Projection to get out of there safely afterward.

Reality Erasure is a great ult to start off team fights as the AOE damage it deals is massive, giving you an opportunity to pounce on a weakened enemy. But make sure you use the short period of free-fly to position yourself in a good spot.

Best team comp

To help perfect your team in Marvel Rivals, we recommend pairing Scarlet Witch with the following characters:

  • Magneto
  • Cloak and Dagger
  • Venom
  • The Punisher
  • Psylocke

Magneto

Magneto is a fantastic teammate for Scarlet Witch thanks to their team-up ability, which infuses his greatsword with Chaos Energy. As such, both Magneto and Scarlet Witch receive a 10% damage boost, perfectly complementing their already impressive damage output.

Check out our Magneto guide for more details on the character.

Cloak and Dagger

cloak and dagger in marvel rivals

At her core, Scarlet Witch is your Rogue-esque character, sneaking around and laying waste to unsuspecting enemies. So, you’ll need someone who can keep her alive without being right near her, as it’ll put your healer in danger. This is where Dagger comes in, with his healing ability that doesn’t require aiming. Protection without worrying about her constant mobility will be a game-changing combination.

Check out our Cloak and Dagger guide for more details on the character.

Venom

As a Vanguard, Venom is a fantastic support for Scarlet Witch, allowing him to dive into the fray and keep enemies occupied while Scarlet Witch throws AoE spells and stuns anyone who thinks they can get away. Combine this with her sneaking around the back of the group, and you have deadly power from both sides.

Check out our Venom guide for more details on the character.

The Punisher

the punisher in marvel rivals

The Punisher is a fantastic Duelist thanks to his close-range and mid-range weapons, allowing him to pick off enemies from wherever he needs to be. On top of this, just like Scarlet Witch, he can perfectly control the space, letting Scarlet Witch position herself tactically while Punisher keeps her safe from harm.

Check out our Punisher guide for more details on the character.

Psylocke

This combination hones in on Scarlet Witch’s control abilities, using her AoE attacks to complement Psylocke’s assassination style. Simply draw the enemy’s attention with your ultimate and stuns, while Psylocke picks off any unsuspecting targets. Or, grab Psylocke and Scarlet Witch and use them both as stealthy assassins, while the rest of the team draws the enemy’s attention.

Check out our Psylocke guide for more details on the character.

Best counters

If you find yourself up against Scarlet Witch in Marvel Rivals, then you’ll want to look into the following counters:

  • Groot
  • Hulk
  • Punisher

Groot

While Scarlet Witch can certainly control the battlefield, Groot can do the same, stopping any pesky Witch from getting to the squishier players. Simply place your walls down, block any potential flanking locations for your team and force Scarlet Witch to head straight down the middle, cutting off the primary aspect that makes her powerful.

Hulk

Marvel Rivals Hulk

Scarlet Witch’s abilities place her in a dangerous position with enemies, she’s not got the health to withstand a powerful attack and has to change some of her abilities. So, if you play as Hulk and hang back or focus on Scarlet Witch, then she’ll be totally unprepared and unable to survive against Hulks powerful hits.

The Punisher

Stopping Scarlet Witch’s ultimate is vital, it’s incredibly powerful. All you need to do to complete that is damage her, which is where The Punisher’s rifle comes in. A powerful ranged fighter like The Punisher excels in this, eliminating any powerful abilities she might want to use. Combine this with the close range damage, and you can take her down regardless of where she is.
