Palworld streamer devastated after learning bases aren’t invincible
PocketpairIn Palworld, players are required to defend their base to survive. However, it looks like those jumping in early may need to go the extra mile to ensure they don’t learn this streamer’s lesson the hard way.
As Palword‘s early access launch gets underway, streamers have been showcasing the game on Twitch and giving a glimpse of what the world has to offer. Other than taming and collecting Pals, it’s apparent that players have to put in effort in building their own base which essentially functions as their home.
Every now and then, enemies will attempt to attack the base, and it’s up to the player to defend it. Sure, the game does offer players the ability to set up their defenses, but one streamer in particular has learned a lesson regarding protecting their own base in perhaps the most unexpected way.
In a short clip he posted on X, BurkeBlack was seen defending his base with a friend as hostile Pals kept swarming the area. At this point, a few parts of the base already seemed to be burning from fire, likely coming from the Pals’ attacks.
What seemed to be a small fire quickly spread to the rest of the base, leaving the streamer to helplessly watch his precious base engulfed in flames.
“Oh no… Oh my god,” he said as chaos ensued. It certainly didn’t take too long until the front part of the base disappeared into thin air, leaving the insides exposed.
“We did not anticipate this, the consequences of our actions!” he said by the end of the clip. Seeing what the streamer went through in the clip, people couldn’t help but express their concerns and opinions regarding the game’s mechanics.
“Isn’t there a setting to turn this off?” one person asked, to which a reply said, “Yes, but the raids add an air of excitement.”
Outside of that, some players seem not to be surprised, given that Palworld is, after all, a survival game. One user even mentioned, “After LEGO Fortnite, it should be expected, lol.”
Palworld’s early access has yet to launch at the time of writing, but this surely gave others more insight into what to expect in the game’s vivid world.
