Spider-Man 2 fans were quick to point out that the flag hanging in the Morales home, while currently the Cuban flag, should in fact be the Puerto Rican one. In light of this, developer Insomniac has confirmed that they will be fixing the mistake soon.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launched last week and the much-anticipated game already making waves in the industry and community. And while the game is getting critical and commercial acclaim, there are still things that developer Insomniac is fixing up about the game post-release.

One such detail from the new Spidey outing that has been receiving major attention online is the Cuban flag that can be seen displayed within Miles Morales’ house.

Why the attention you ask? The Morales family is actually of Puerto Rican descent, with Insomniac accidentally designing the wrong flag and putting it in the game.

This error was spotted early on by Redditor TheHouselessTurtle, who questioned why the Cuban flag was displayed in the Morales home.

“Can anybody explain why there is a Cuban flag inside and outside of the Miles Morales apartment when he and Rio are Puerto Ricans?” TheHouselessTurtle asked. “And very proud about it in the previous game.”

Others on Twitter have also taken to expressing their confusion online. One user wrote, “Looks like Insomniac mistakenly has the Cuban flag instead of the Puerto Rican flag in Spider-Man 2.

Here’s a picture of Miles Morales walking inside his apartment. I hope @insomniacgames can fix this soon. The odd thing is later in the game, you can unlock his suit that has the PR flag. I remember seeing this during the preview event.”

As a result, fans have since reached out to the dev team, notifying them of the mistake and imploring them to fix the mixup. One Twitter user reached out to James Stevenson, the director of Insomniac, writing the following.

“You guys did a great job on Miles Morales the game representing the Puerto Rican culture including our flag. In Spider-Man 2 @insomniacgames inadvertently put a Cuban flag in Miles’s house. Could you let the development team know so they can fix it? Thanks.”

Stevenson was quick to respond to the post, confirming that a “Fix is coming for that” by the Spider-Man 2 team.
