The First Descendant players want Destiny-style weekend vendor

The First Descendant has many systems, some of which have proven more useful than others. In a bid to address some of the least useful resources, players have called for a Xur-like weekend vendor to be added to the game.

In a post on Reddit, one First Descendant player drew attention to the fact that weapon parts and the extra Descendant are currently largely useless. They suggested a new weekend vendor that accepted a fresh currency (which can be traded for weapon parts) would be a solution that works for everyone.

Rather than anything too game-breaking, they also suggested that the new vendor could sell items that would considerably improve quality-of-life and reduce significant grind. This would include Red/Yellow Modules and Purple/Yellow tier Amorphous Patterns.

Comments beneath the post were largely positive, with many agreeing that even a small reduction in grind would make a big difference. One said, “YES! So, for at least one week, we can skip the grind for a specific weapon or even just the weapon parts. Even if it’s just one allowed for purchase per week and you have to pay with your arm and leg.”

Another suggested that existing vendors could be repurposed, saying, “I would definitely like to have a weekly vendor. Why not just use that guy that no one uses and give him good stuff to sell. Two birds, one stone.”

A third added, “Not a bad idea. They could make a vendor from either the Vulgus or Magister (I can’t remember their name, honestly) that’s a wanderer of the void. Make it a currency that you can earn through hard mode dungeons, hard mode intercept, or tied to the upcoming mega-dungeons.”

The First Descendant has only been out since the beginning of July and things have been changing quickly. Several vendors have already had minor alterations, so a move like this from NEXON is not out of the question going forward.
