Twitch Announce Special E3 2018 Extensions, Full Conference Schedule and Meet & Greet With Popular Streamers
Amazon owned live streaming platform Twitch has been announced as the official streaming partner of E3, the worlds biggest gaming convention.
As part of the announcement, Twitch has released details of new features and extensions specific to certain events, co-streaming ability and the full streaming schedule.
E3 2018 will take place on June 9th to June 14th, featuring presentations from the biggest games publishers and companies, including Ubisoft, Bethesda, EA, Activision, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
All the major press conferences will be streamed live on Twitch, and there will even be special Twitch exclusive extensions for the Bethesda and Ubisoft conferences.
These will be streamed on Twitch’s own channel (twitch.tv/twitch), and the whole of E3 will be presented by some of Twitch staff themselves.
- All the major press conferences, including EA, Microsoft, Nintendo, Bethesda, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Sony, and the PC Gaming Show. Plus, Twitch is the only place to watch the Devolver Digital Conference, so if you haven’t seen one of those before, just… get ready.
- Enhanced versions of the Ubisoft and Bethesda conferences thanks to custom E3 Extensions. As Ubisoft reveals games, you can immediately sign up for beta access and newsletters. Likewise, the Bethesda E3 Extension lets you try your hand at game trivia, answer polls, and pre-order new games on Amazon.
- Coverage live from Los Angeles, including interviews and first looks at games revealed during the main conferences.
There is also the option to co-stream the event, so if you are a streamer yourself you can watch along with your own community and viewers.
- For streamers: Just set your “game” to “E3 2018,” capture the stream on https://e3.costream.twitch.tv/, and you’re good to go. Note: co-streamers are only allowed to capture the official Twitch stream.
- For viewers: Want to see who else is streaming E3? Just check out the E3 game directory to see who’s streaming the event. It’s also the perfect place to find non-English coverage by sorting the directory by language.
Finally, for those in attendance at the event, Twitch is also putting on meet & greet sessions with popular streamers, including DrLupo, KingRichard, Pokimane and others.
Some of these streamers are also participating in the Fortnite Pro-Am tournament which will be hosted at E3, and will feature streamers teaming up with celebrities – you can see the full details here.
Twitch does note that the times and appearances for the meet and greet sessions are subject to change.
