Here’s a look at everything we know about WWE 2K24, including when the game will officially be revealed to the public.

In January 2024, the official WWE Games Twitter/X account officially updated its profile pic to an image of WWE 2K24. That can only mean one thing and that is the upcoming reveal of the new wrestling game.

The next installment of the WWE 2K franchise is upon us but when exactly can wrestling fans expect information regarding the new game? On January 22, 2024, the folks over at 2K dropped the release announcement for the upcoming simulation game.

Here’s a look at what we know about WWE 2K24.

When is the release date for WWE 2K24?

WWE 2K24 will be released worldwide on March 8. However, those who order the Deluxe or Forty Years of WrestleMania editions of the title will receive three days of early access, along with other digital content, beginning on March 5.

The reveal for WWE 2K24 took place on January 22, 2024.

This roughly falls in line with when WWE 2K23 was released. WWE 2K23 launched worldwide on March 16, 2023.

Who is the cover athlete for WWE 2K24?

WWE superstar Cody Rhodes is the cover athlete for the standard edition of WWE 2K24. For the Deluxe edition, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley will be on the cover.

There’s also the Forty Years of WrestleMania edition cover, which features legendary performers from both the past and present. John Cena, The Undertaker, and Roman Reigns are among the wrestlers that will be featured on that cover.

What platforms will WWE 2K24 be available for?

Just like WWE 2K23, this year’s game will be available on the PC, as well as old-gen (PS4 and Xbox One) and current-gen (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S) platforms.

A Nintendo Switch version of WWE 2K24 will not be made available.

What new features will be in WWE 2K24?

The 2K team confirmed that several new match types will be in WWE 2K24. Among those include Ambulance, Gauntlet, and Special Guest Referee bouts.

As for the 2K Showcase, the focus for 2K24 will be matches from across the Forty Years of WrestleMania.

2K confirmed that the 2K Showcase will feature 21 matches from across the history of WrestleMania, including Shawn Michaels & The Undertaker from WrestleMania 25, to John Cena & Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House match, and more.

MyRise will also return for this year’s game. It will come with two different storylines, one for the men’s and women’s division, respectively. It will give wrestling fans the opportunity to be either a face or heel and unlock as many as 80 different in-game items.

Has 2K announced a roster for WWE 2K24?

Yes, WWE 2K24 announced the launch roster in late February. The roster will feature a large swath of current and former performers who have stepped foot in a WWE ring.

Among the notable confirmed names aside from the ones not mentioned previously include Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Dusty Rhodes, “Superstar” Billy Graham, Chyna, Randy Savage, and Rey Mysterio.
