Genshin Impact players want this “obnoxious” enemy removed from the Spiral Abyss
HoYoverseThe Genshin Impact community wants HoYoverse to adjust the Setekh Wenut fight, with many calling it “obnoxious” and unfun.
The Setekh Wenut is a gigantic serpent found in the Desert of Hadramaveth, Sumeru. However, HoYoverse has now added it to the Spiral Abyss. While the sandworm is relatively simple when thought in its natural habitat, the added attack and elemental resistance values it gains in the Spiral Abyss can make a tough fight.
This is especially true for Travelers who rely on Anemo team comps to deal the bulk of their damage. It’s because of the “obnoxious” nature of the Wenut’s Spiral Abyss buffs that the game’s community is calling for changes.
Genshin Impact players demand Wenut Spirall Abyss changes
“The least fun thing I can possibly experience in Genshin is watching a timer count down while the Wenut is underground wasting time before popping up on the side of the map furthest from you,” explained on frustrated player.
“I love a challenge and wish Genshin had more, but waiting for immunity phases over and over again isn’t fun or challenging. It’s just annoying.”
The game’s community believes this pesky enemy would be less of a problem if it wasn’t so tanky. “Honestly, the Wenut would probably be slightly less obnoxious if MHY hadn’t decided to give the Wenut an extra 30% universal resistance just for the Spiral Abyss,” commented one Traveler.
“Like why the hell does it need to be a time-waster boss and also have 55% Resistance to all elements with 90% to Anemo? Like It really doesn’t make any sense, MHY.”
Other players also noted how they felt the Wenut fight forces one particular playstyle and leaves very little room for different elemental comps to shine.
“Funny thing about this for me is that I tried several different teams like aggravate, spread, and mono cryo but couldn’t get the full clear in time until I just gave up and played hyperbloom, which killed Wenut with nearly a minute to spare.”
Whether HoYoverse will make adjustments to the Wenut in the future remains to be seen, but for now, you’ll need to take extra care when taking it down.
