GTA 6 leaker teases game announcement with cryptic messages

An apparent Grand Theft Auto leaker has hinted at the possibility of there being an announcement for GTA 6 coming in the near future.

Ever since Rockstar followed up the release of GTA V with Red Dead Redemption 2, fans of the uber-popular Grand Theft Auto franchise have been awaiting a new game – GTA VI, to be exact.

There has been plenty of speculation about what could be set to come in the next installment of the GTA series – with rumors of a game spanning decades, different countries, and even different parts of already much-loved Grand Theft Auto locations. However, with Rockstar keeping supremely silent, no one is quite sure what is coming next.

GTA 6 leaks
GTA fans are hoping that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be revealed sooner rather than any later.

Yet, speculation has been growing surrounding a possible announcement in the near future. The first instance of this was uncovered by YouTuber MrBossFTW when another apparent insider claimed that March 25 was a day to look out for. Yet, fans have uncovered more.

An apparent Rockstar leaker on the GTAForums, known as ‘gonnaenodaethat’ has been dropping cryptic hints with posts in different threads and private messages. The poster, who supposedly has a track record for insider information – including teasing details about the RDR2 trailer before it was released – has been dropping speculation about the new game, including references to possible drug dealing in-game.

The account also posted a direct message to another poster telling them that they were “closer than you think,” which was immediately grasped on to as further fuel to the fire than an announcement could be set for the near future.

Of course, at the minute, this is all speculation from hopeful fans who are hoping that the supposed insider will come through for them again as they did with Red Dead Redemption 2.

Whether or not Rockstar will reveal GTA 6 anytime soon in any type of trailer, teaser, or confirmation of its existence still, very much, remains to be seen.
