GTA V easter egg advert could hint at GTA 6 location
GTA players have uncovered a new in-game advert in Grand Theft Auto V that seemingly adds credence to the rumors surrounding the location and story of GTA 6.
Ever since Rockstar Games released GTA V back in 2013, fans of the uber-popular sandbox franchise have been awaiting the next installment. Since then, the famed developers have delivered constant updates to GTA Online, as well as a follow-up to Red Dead Redemption.
Outside of speculation, rumors, and theories, news about GTA VI has been thin on the ground, with Rockstar not yet confirming if its actually in development or not. However, there have been plenty of unconfirmed leaks about its supposed story and location, with fans finding possible hints inside GTA V that seem to add authenticity to these ‘leaks’.
The newest hint comes in the form of an in-game advert for ‘Six Figure Temps’ and ‘Adios Airlines,’ which both have South American flavor to their in-game standings. As pointed out by Reddit user MrBurpAlot, heading to the Six Figure Temps websites in-game will lead you to a questionnaire about taking on the job.
Now, it is clearly a reference to becoming a drug mule between Los Santos and South America, but the use of ‘Six’ and the Southern America countries – like the Puerto Rican links to Adios Airlines – is certainly interesting.
What this all links to, though, is the early leak surrounding the games supposed story that would apparently place you outside of the usual Central American themed locations of GTA and place you in locations like Colombia.
This rumor seemingly gained additional credence before the turn of the new year as Rockstar sent out Christmas gifts that included a Colombian-themed Rockstar logo patch – something that they haven’t done before.
Now, as ever, these links should be taken with a pinch of salt until the developers actually acknowledge the next GTA game.
It remains to be seen as to what will actually be the story and location of GTA 6, but Rockstar has been known to tease their next game right under the nose of fans.
