Helldivers 2 players can’t believe game’s most “awe-inspiring” missions aren’t available on highest difficulty
Arrowhead GamesHelldivers 2 players are unsure of why one of the community’s favorite mission types isn’t available in higher difficulties.
Helldivers 2 has a lot of different missions that players can tackle, including both main and side objectives that help spread democracy.
While some of them can be a chore, there are a few that the player base loves and these have quickly become iconic.
However, many Helldivers 2 fans don’t understand why one of these fan-favorite missions is only available in lower difficulties.
Helldivers 2 fans want beloved mission in higher difficulties
The mission in question involves players raising a flag on the battlefield, and one fan on the Helldivers subreddit is asking the devs make it more available, demanding: “Devs: Make the ‘Raise the Flag’ mission available in higher difficulties.”
They go on to explain: “This is probably one of the most patriotic, awe inspiring missions in the game, and I’d say 80% of players will never get to see it or hear it’s OST which is one of the best in the game. It’s a shame and should -be a mission available in all difficulties.”
It appears that they aren’t wrong about players not getting to experience it, as many users report they had no idea this kind of mission was in the game. “Wait what?! I need to see/hear this,” writes one Reddit user.
One person even admits they thought players were asking for new kinds of missions when mentioning it.
Many Helldivers 2 fans wish it were more widely available in missions, though, as one says, “I want raise the flag on Helldive, with Bile titans and Chargers galore. It’s a shame that it’s only available in the lower 3 difficulties.”
Some players are giving their thoughts on how they would improve upon the mission, adding waves of enemies to fight off until the flag is fully raised.
Or as one fan suggests: “And instead of having the flag be automated let us carry it across the battlefield and raise it ourselves like in the tutorial.”
While this mission type appears to be a favorite of the Helldivers 2 community, it remains to be seen if the devs have any plans to bring it to the more difficult missions in the game.
