Helldivers 2 samples

Helldivers 2 players are sharing the best way to avoid any missed samples in your battle for liberty, and they’re sure to grab you a few extra resources.

Samples are an extremely useful element of Helldivers 2. The resource will allow you to upgrade your ship, which in turn will keep you lasting a little longer on those tougher difficulties or while playing on your own.

However, Samples can be a little tricky to find when you’re busy being swarmed by giant bugs or robots with more armor on than the tank rolling behind them. So, one player has revealed the best way to avoid any missed samples, and it’s as simple as just using your minimap.

How to get all samples on the map in Helldivers 2

Sharing their PSA on Reddit, one user simply revealed that you can “stop missing samples by checking your map.”

Along with the post, they added the difference between a Place of Interest with loot and one without, revealing that the diamond means the POI has loot, and the diamond marker means it’s been cleared of Samples. So if you leave a POI and it hasn’t changed, chances are there are still Samples to find.

While many fans were appreciative of the PSA, others highlighted a few issues with the visual marker and the technique in general.

“Mine glitches out sometimes and doesn’t show that I cleared POI’s. I can be right on top of it” commented one user, showing that it’s currently a little buggy and can fail to show the cleared marker. However, in this case, it’s best to do one last sweep of the location and move on.

One Helldiver commented that “it only shows the diamond if there are samples there. If the samples are cleared but there are medals or super creds then it clears” proving that the Samples are the key markers here, and if you’re trying to grab medals or super credits, then this may not be as fruitful.

“I’ve found this to be extremely hit or miss. Sometimes it never undiamonds” added one user, who echoes the community sentiment that the feature can be a little buggy for some.

Whether it’s buggy or not, this is an ideal way to see if there are any missed samples, just in case you haven’t quite got them all.
