How to attempt to bypass Helldivers 2 login screen issues

From the moment it was released, Helldivers 2 has faced some crippling server issues, with many players reporting their inability to log in or join via quickplay. Thankfully, plenty of patches are being released and the devs are constantly working to improve these servers. The situation is improving, but it’s not quite fixed yet.

While this can be frustrating for many, it has allowed the fanbase to get pretty creative in how they work around the server issues. Luckily, there’s now a handy bypass to allow certain players the chance to get into the game hassle-free. Here’s how to attempt to bypass the Helldivers 2 login issues.

How to try and bypass the Helldivers 2 login issues

It’s worth noting, this method doesn’t always work, but we’ve had some success with it. To attempt to bypass the Helldivers 2 login issues, you’ll need one player who’s already in Helldivers 2. The best way to do this is to have one player jump in earlier on in the day, when the servers aren’t as busy.

Then, with that player online, just follow these steps:

1. Head onto Steam or PSN.
2. View your friends list.
3. Click on the friend that’s logged into Helldivers 2.
4. Select Join Game.

Doing this can bypass any server issues and allow you to quickly and easily join their game. Once you do that, you can either battle robots and bugs side by side or leave and head to your own ship.

This method also typically works for PSN in the same way, so it’s not resigned to just PC players. However, again, this doesn’t always work – it’s just a handy workaround to try when the servers just aren’t letting you in.
