Who is Firefly in Honkai Star Rail & does she die?
HoYoverseHonkai Star Rails Firefly is gaining quite a bit of notoriety in the 2.0 update – but who is she and does she actually die?
There are so many characters in HoYoverses Honkai Star Rail, and despite players having to sift through them all, most are extremely beloved, even the newer characters that players are yet to pull. One such character is Firefly, an adorable girl who’s had a pretty tough life.
2.0 may have plenty of features, but for many, Firefly is one of the most memorable aspects. After all, her final scene can have a pretty strong impact on many fans and is leaving a vast amount of questions. So, who is Firefly and does she die in Honkai Star Rail?
Who is Honkai Star Rails Firefly?
Firefly was first introduced to fans during the Honkai Star Rail 1.6 stream – but she didn’t feature in the game until the 2.0 update.
During the update, fans got to meet Firefly during the Sleepless Night mission, where they find two thugs threatening Firefly, accusing her of being a stowaway. Thankfully, Gallagher stops the issue and reasons that Firefly can’t be the stowaway, so she’s free to chat with the player.
During the conversation, she reveals she’s from the Iris family and that she’s a performer and guide, offering to show players around as a thanks. However, during this interaction, it’s revealed she was in fact the stowaway and is an interstellar refugee.
Shortly after, she reveals she suffers from Entropy Loss Syndrome, a chronic dissociation of the physical structure, meaning they slowly fade away. Thankfully, she can free herself of the illness, and is after the Watchmakers Legacy to do so, which would make her an enemy to the Trailblazer.
Does Firefly die in Honkai Star Rail?
It’s not entirely clear whether Firefly is truly dead in Honkai Star Rail. When you head into the Reverie Dreamscape, you do witness Death pierce Firefly through the chest from behind, which would typically mean she’s dead.
However, as is the nature of Honkai Star Rail, anything’s possible, and the Entropy Loss Syndrome she suffers from could have saved her life, especially considering it means the dissociation of the physical structure.
Nevertheless, it appears she’s dead in Honkai Star Rail’s 2.0 update – bringing a shocking twist to players everywhere.
