Teamfight Tactics players praise devs for fixing Vegas party bug
Riot GamesTeamfight Tactics developers have received praise from the player base after fixing an annoying visual bug they were notified of at a party in Las Vegas.
Teamfight Tactics is an overwhelmingly complex game. The auto battler has come a long way since its humble beginnings, with simplistic traits, units, and systems becoming more complicated as sets came and went. This sentiment was also true for the game’s cosmetics, which introduced new booms, Little Legends, Chibi Champions, and Arenas over time.
As the game became increasingly more complex, bugs and glitches would appear more frequently, with even the smallest out-of-place number causing issues. Riot releases patches to fix these bugs from time to time, but they’ll always continue to crop up as more changes are made.
Players are able to report these bugs to the developers through various means, whether that be hitting up Mortdog’s Twitter DMs or contacting Riot Support. However, one method that has been proven to work is by hitting the developers up at a pre-party in Las Vegas, and that’s exactly what happened to one player.
Reddit user tablelamp5 took to the Teamfight Tactics Reddit to highlight the devs who put in hard work on fixing an irritating bug involving the Squink little legend. Ever since Set 10’s launch, Squinks have had a visual issue involving one of their emotes. Fortunately, lamp had enough liquid courage that night to go on a rant in front of one of the developers.
One of the developers promised they’d fix the bug at the end of January during a patch, and so they did, causing mass praise from the community.
“Common TFT dev W” one player hailed.
“My hero” another cried.
Others pointed out the sheer irony of the situation, claiming it as the exact opposite of how many dev interactions go.
“This is basically the reverse of DMing devs on Twitter with death threats and it actually worked, I think that’s hilarious”
