The developers of Teamfight Tactics have announced the disabling of a fan-favorite region portal due to a game-breaking bug that arrived in Patch 13.21.

Teamfight Tactics is well on its way throughout Set 9. Runeterra Reforged has brought us back into the world of Runeterra, complete with traits for each of the various factions and nations. Of course, the 9th set of Teamfight Tactics wasn’t going to be simple, however, with the introduction of new region portals that can affect the game.

Like augments, region portals can affect how a game of TFT can go. Region portals can grant a whole bunch of different effects, including free item anvils, bonus shop refreshes or even completely disabling augments. This has easily been the biggest addition to Set 9 of TFT, which has kept the game refreshing from match to match.

One of the most popular region portals that players absolutely adore is Scuttle Puddle. Located in the Bandle City region, Scuttle Puddle replaces all PvE round monsters with Scuttle Crabs, which are filled to the brim with gold and goodies. Because of all of the loot, this portal is easily a player favorite. However, a game-breaking bug has caused the devs to completely disable Scuttle Puddle.

The official Teamfight Tactics Twitter page posted the unfortunate announcement earlier today.

“It’s with great regret that we have to disable Scuttle Puddle in patch 13.21 (tomorrow) to avoid a game-breaking bug that has emerged with the Portal. This also impacts Beats by Scuttle.” the post sadly reads.

This means that Scuttle Puddle will not be able to spawn as an option in both ranked and casual modes of play. It’s not yet known what the game-breaking bug involved with the disabling is, but Riot has mentioned that they’re looking to re-enable Scuttle Puddle in Patch 13.22 after they’ve solved the issue.
