1. LEGO Ideas Red London Telephone Box — 21347
Paying homage to a quintessential British symbol, the LEGO Ideas Red London Telephone Box celebrates the K2 Telephone Box’s centenary.
Staying true to Giles Gilbert Scott’s winning design of 1924, the LEGO-reimagined K2 booth boasts a host of authentic elements. The LEGO replica features a domed roof, window panes, a fluted architrave, and decorative moulding, just like the original. Royal Crown emblems are also present and correct.
However, it’s not only the exterior that has authentic detailing. The interior, too, has several neat features. For example, LEGO builders have the option of fitting it with a vintage rotary phone or a 1990s-style phone. In addition, when night falls, you can illuminate the interior with the included LEGO light brick. All you have to do is press down on the roof.
What’s more, this LEGO Ideas kit allows you to recreate the street scene. It includes a buildable cobbled street, a lamppost, replete with flower baskets, and a fence with a street sign. A cool feature, the set has space for you to put your smartphone.
Designed for LEGO enthusiasts aged 18 and up, this kit comprises 1460 bricks. It is sure to provide a rewarding and nostalgic building experience for adults. The completed model stands 12 inches tall, seven-and-a-half inches wide, and six inches deep. Considering the latter and the set’s exquisite details, it will look great when displayed in your home or office.
The LEGO Ideas Red London Telephone Box was the last of the new sets LEGO released in February. However, if you are a LEGO member, you could have pre-ordered it before it went on sale. Didn’t? Well, not to worry. The LEGO Ideas Red London Telephone Box is finally available, exclusively from the LEGO Store.
