Fallout 2’s terrifying final boss is unleashed in MTG
WOTC/BethesdaFrank Horrigan is an unforgettable antagonist for many Fallout fans, and he’s taking the spotlight in a newly revealed MTG card.
MTG Universes Beyond: Fallout is not only bringing allies and companions to the fore, it’s also spotlighting the series’ most infamous and powerful villains.
Hail, Caesar is a fairly obvious route to take for playing villain factions in Universes Beyond: Fallout. But it’s far from the only option you have for bringing brutal bad guys to the table.
The Mutant Menace deck is shaping up to be one of the absolute best options available for MTG Universes Beyond: Fallout. This deck can quickly burn through your opponents by placing and proliferating the new rad counters, and it has plenty of creatures in place to help push that strategy forward. Chief among those creatures are The Wise Mothman, and the set’s alt Commander, Agent Frank Horrigan.
How Agent Frank Horrigan works in MTG Universes Beyond: Fallout
Just for starters, Agent Frank Horrigan is an incredibly intimidating Creature card, with stats and abilities befitting his Super Mutant nature. Horrigan is an 8/6 Creature with Trample and Indestructible on every turn it is able to attack.
Horrigan will be able to get in some nasty combat damage, but the card’s real strength lies in the Proliferate mechanic. Proliferate is one of MTG’s best-ever abilities, and its prominence in Mutant Menace is a large part of the deck’s strength.
When Agent Frank Horrigan enters the battlefield or attacks, Proliferate twice. Given that Horrigan can be Indestructible when attacking, this card is pretty much guaranteeing a minimum of two proliferates per turn. With this, you’ll be able to quickly build up enough rad counters on opponents to burn through their life with ease.
MTG Universes Beyond: Fallout is set to launch on March 8.
