A Monster Hunter Now leak has revealed details about the 69.1 update, giving players a sneak peek into potential monsters, weapons, and an eagerly requested feature.

While Monster Hunter Now players around the world are currently delving into the Lucky Lunar New Year event, that hasn’t stopped 69.1 leaks from cropping up online. The upcoming update looks to be the most expansive yet, with the rumored introduction of the game’s first Elder Dragon and Charge Blade weapon type.

There are even rumblings that Niantic will be adding layered armor into the game. So, if you want to get a look ahead, then our handy Monster Hunter Now 69.1 hub has you covered.

Monster Hunter Now 69.1 armor sets

Kushala Daora flying

According to a datamine posted on the Monster Hunter Now Hub Reddit page, Niantic will be adding four new armor sets to the game. The 69.1 armor leak also points towards the first Monster Hunter Now Elder Dragon, which looks to be Kushala Daora.

Kushala Daora is known for its deadly wind attacks and ability to inflict Iceblight and Dragonblight ailments. If that wasn’t exciting enough, there are also files for Devil Jho and the debut of a deadly subspecies.

All the leaked armor sets outlined in the Monster Hunter Now 69.1 datamine can be found below:

  • Deviljho
  • Kushala Daora
  • Odogaron
  • Coral Pukei-Pukei

Of course, like all Monster Hunter leaks, these could change before release so be sure to take them with a grain of salt.

Monster Hunter Now 69.1 new weapon

Monster Hunter World Charge Blade

The Monster Hunter Now leaker noted that Charge Blade models were deleted from the game’s files, and an icon for the weapon was discovered. This likely means that Niantic is gearing up for a new weapon release in 69.1, which will likely see the CB added to the game.

There was also the omission of Gunlance files and an encrypted Plaico armor file, with the latter being unexplained. Whether this means the devs are releasing Palico companions in the game is up for interpretation, but it would certainly make sense given that mainline games have enabled Hunters to team up with the furry felines.

Monster Hunter Now layered armor

The Monster Hunter Now 69.1 leaker also discovered “some references to layered armor,” which seems to support the theory that Niantic will be giving players the chance to go deeper on their character’s customization.

Quite whether all sets will have a layered version or if they’ll be selling armor cosmetics remains to be seen.
