Monster Hunter Now players are struggling to farm Tobi-Kadachi Primescales, with many wanting Niantic to adjust the drop rate.

Monster Hunter Now tasks players with fighting Capcom’s colossal creatures in the real world, using their hides to craft powerful weapons and armor. While the early game can be breezed through in a few hours, the late-game grind requires a lot of farming.

This is especially true for Hunters who wish to max out their gear and obtain powerful Grade 10 weapons. In fact, it’s not uncommon for players to spend months farming the game’s toothy terrors for drops.

However, Monster Hunter Now players are still struggling to get hold of the ever-elusive Tobi-Kadachi Primescales.

Tobi-Kadachi Primescales remains incredibly rare.

“I’ve been playing for only about 1 month, but I realized that Tobi Kadachi is so stingy on dropping its Primescale, even at 5-star, said one player. “I even have better Primescale drops on later enemies, like the Legiana and Rathian…I slayed not more than 10 Legianas, yet the Primescales I gathered are more than Tobi’s, which I slayed almost 50.”

Other Hunters were also quick to share their Primescale woes, with one player noting how far behind their build is as a result of the low drops. “Primescale for me as well. I’m at the 8-star Rathalos urgent quest with a 8/4 Kadachi bow and I have so much pelt and all the other materials but really lacking on Primescales”

As always, if you’re looking to increase your chances of landing that all-important Tobi-Kadachi Primescale, you’ll want to ensure you’re breaking parts to maximize your rewards.

Quite whether Niantic will make any adjustments to certain monster drops remains to be seen, but for now, you’ll simply need to rely on RNG and be prepared to grind when leveling up high-rank gear.
