The Lucky Lunar New Year Pack costs $14.99/£14.99, and features five Wander Droplets, one Special Carving Knife, and 11 Potions. The lack of items and the high price of this bundle has led many Monster Hunter Now players to voice their anger over the price, with many noting how Niantic “never learn” following similar bundle releases.
“These deals keep getting worse every time they release them,” wrote one player on the Monster Hunter Now Reddit page. “Last good pack they had was during roars of the desert where they gave us like 20 potions carving knives and paintballs.”
Others noted how for the high price of the bundle, the devs should include more items and incentives for purchasing it. “With a price like that they should let you access every monster you see on the screen,” explained one Hunter. “But nope three bucks to expand the radius three whole feet.”
Another player noted how a similar issue happened in Pokemon Go, which ultimately led to them quitting the game. “It’s the same in Pokemon Go, I used to spend around 20€ every month but the prices got so inflated I quit playing it.”
Whether Nianitc will listen to the community and lower the prices or adjust the number of items available in Monster Hunter Now bundles remains to be seen. Either way, it’s clear players aren’t happy with the current prices.
