Music festival Coachella has reportedly recorded its lowest ticket sales in over a decade, the divisive lineup seemingly to blame for this new low.

When it comes to the world of live music and festivals, one of the biggest events each and every year is Coachella. The music festival includes dozens of acts. Actors, celebrities and more flocking to the event to watch and listen to some of the performances and major headline acts the festival includes.

However, some fans were less than impressed with the lineup for 2024, Dexerto reporting how the roster of musicians for the upcoming festival was instantly roasted as the “worst of all time.”

The current headlines for Coachella 2024 include Lana Del Ray, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat. While these artists are of course big names, they are also musicians who often tour. Typically, Coachella looks for more elusive names to feature.

As a result of this, ticket sales for Coachella 2024 are reportedly at a massive low, with outlet SFGate stating that the event has been hit with the slowest ticket sales in a decade.

Over the years, fans have taken to social media to share just how hard it can be to get your hands on tickets for the festival. Between the years 2014 and 2023, tickets for Coachella sold out in under an hour.

In 2024, fans were still able to get their hands on them four years after they went on sale, a first for the festival in 10 years. Tickets for the first weekend are still available at the second of the three price tiers, meaning plenty of passes remain.

Time will tell if Coachella 2024 is able to be just as big and successful as previous years. However, the festival has been hit with a rocky start so far.
