Paramore announced the cancelation of several upcoming festival appearances, and fans are losing it online.

Paramore’s future hangs in the balance. After parting ways with their label home of 18 years, the band wiped their website and social media, leading many to believe they were either disbanding or kickstarting a new era.

Fortunately, the latter seems to be true, except for the recent announcement that several festival appearances have been canceled. Many fans believe the band’s forthcoming stint on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour could be next on the chopping block.

On Instagram Stories, Paramore canceled appearances at Vive Latino in Mexico City, Festival Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá, and Lollapalooza Brazil in São Paula. Kings of Leon will fill their slots.

Paramore cancels shows and fans are not happy

Fans were swift in their reactions on Twitter/X and didn’t hold back.

“Okay Paramore what’s the deal? Like what’s going on?” prompted one fan. “Y’all did a collab with A24 and are clearly not disbanding, but also why are y’all pulling out of shows while giving vague a** statements?”

“Paramore you need to say something at this point,” echoed another fan, attaching a gif of a disgruntled Ryan Gosling.

“Ok Paramore girl I love u… but if you knew you would have problems to keep up with your schedule why the hell did you book all those shows?” lamented another fan. “And if it is a problem with Atlantic, did no one warn them about this possibly happening? People actually spend money on you, u know?”

“The wiping of socials and this makes me want to pull out the red nose,” wrote MichaelaSwift13.

“Have Paramore been kidnapped? What the f*ck is up with them,” wondered another.

Paramore promised fans they’ll see them “in the next era,” as they wrote on Instagram Stories. What that might look like remains to be seen. For now, the band is featured on A24’s forthcoming Stop Making Sense tribute album to The Talking Heads.
