Taylor Swift’s attorneys have threatened legal action against Jack Sweeney, a college student who is famous for tracking celebrities’ private jet locations.

Jack Sweeney has gained quite a bit of notoriety over the last few years, largely because of his interactions with Elon Musk.

Known as the man behind the now banned ElonJet account, Sweeney has continued to track Elon Musk’s jet on other platforms and has even dabbled in tracking other celebrities’ flights.

One of those flight’s Jack has been tracking belongs to Taylor Swift, who is now threatening legal action against the man.

According to The Washington Post, Swift’s attorney’s sent Jack Sweeney a cease-and-desist letter back in December 2023 to get him to stop tracking her private jet and posting it on social media.

However, he told The Post that he sees the letter as an attempt to “scare him away from sharing public data” and that the posts only offer an “incomplete sketch” of which cities the pop star might be in.

“This information is already out there. Her team thinks they can control the world,” he said.

Taylor’s attorneys and publicist have a different take on the matter, though, as they called his actions “stalking and harassing behavior.” Swift’s lawyer Katie Wright Morrone said: “While this may be a game to you, or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death matter for our Client.”

At the time of writing, it appears that the accounts tracking Swift are still live on Twitter and Bluesky with her last flight landing in St Louis, Missouri just two days after she was in Kansas City for the AFC Championship game.

During that visit, she was seen on the field celebrating the Chiefs latest win alongside boyfriend Travis Kelce.
