YouTube music critic Anthony Fantano slammed Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s joint album Vultures 1 as “unreviewable trash” in a recent video. “Kanye has made it his mission to go full-on antisemite, spouting insane conspiracy theories, talking about how he loves Hitler,” he said.
He went on to dissect the music itself, saying, “The music, too, is sh*t. The song ‘Paid’ is one of the most unintentionally hilarious tracks I think Kanye has ever put out. It’s just a crappier version of ‘Fade.’”
In the aftermath of the video, streamer xQc quickly called out Fantano for being hypocritical with previous album reviews.
xQc blasts Anthony Fantano for hypocrisy following Kanye review
Popular streamer xQc didn’t hold back when it came to calling out YouTube critic Anthony Fantano over giving Kanye West’s Vultures 1 a “trash” review. Fans were quick to point out that Fantano previously reviewed rap albums that were made by alleged killers. Those include Lil Durk and Gucci Mane.
“When were these efforts when he was reviewing the f*cking albums and the f*cking things people were saying to rappers that kill people, dude?” provoked xQc. “What do you think about the families that have f*cking dead people? When their guy says, ‘We f*cking blasted that fool in the f*cking head one tap with the Draco man?”

He quickly continued, “‘Pull up in [that] bitch, one tap that b*tch a** in the f*cking head. What do the families feel like about him saying ‘Guys, don’t worry. It’s just one kill, guys. It’s the one tap, my bad guys. It’s just war. It is what it is; it happens in war.”
“If you’re gonna do it one way, you gotta do it both ways,” he concluded. “If you’re going to stand tall, you stand tall across the board.”
In light of the Kanye West review, many xQc fans and other streamers called out Anthony Fantano for his previous reviews of the Norwegian musical group BURZUM, whose frontman allegedly shares similar political views as West.
On February 13, Fantano posted a thread on Twitter/X defending his review. “Never said Ye is too terrible of a person to review,” he said. “It’s a strawman of my argument. My point is the well with Ye is so poisoned that you can’t acknowledge his anti-semitism and declining music quality without his fans smearing and gaslighting.”
He added, “When you can’t acknowledge Kanye is OBJECTIVELY softening ppl to anti-semitism, how am I supposed to expect you to engage sincerely with a SUBJECTIVE music opinion?”
